Chapel Grove is one of the most popular communities in Odenton, in western Anne Arundel County, right next to Piney Orchard. I'm Ryan Breeden, a Long & Foster agent who has helped buyers and sellers across central Maryland since 2005, and I've shown a lot of homes in Chapel Grove and know it well. The newest Chapel Grove homes for sale are below. After them, I'll cover what the community is like, what the HOA costs, and what to check before you make an offer.
Most homes in Chapel Grove were built in the early 2000s. You'll find larger upscale colonials plus a townhome section, and the community has its own neighborhood pool just for Chapel Grove. Some homes sit fairly close together, especially toward the center of the community, while some on the outer edge back to woods. Buyers tell me they like the trail access to the WB&A Trail, the community pool, the short drive to Fort Meade, and the high end feel of the community.
My favorite section is on Seneca Dr, on the left side a little past the pool. All of those homes back to the woods, the backyards have more privacy, and it's a short walk to the pool in the summer months.
The HOA runs around $75 to $100 a month. The amount changes, so I help you get the right contact at the association and ask them for the current number before you write an offer.
The townhome section sits between the Chapel Grove single-family homes and Piney Orchard and connects to both, so a lot of people assume it's part of Piney Orchard. Check the subdivision on the listing, because the fees and amenities can differ.
Some of the homes sit fairly close together, especially in the center sections, so look at the lot and the backyard as well as the house.
Confirm school assignments for the exact address with the Anne Arundel County Public Schools enrollment page and its school locator instead of relying on a listing, because boundaries change.
Odenton is the closest town to Fort Meade, but the drive depends on the street and the time of day. I recommend driving your real route, or using a map app with a setting that shows you commute times at different times of day. If you're moving here on orders, my PCS or military relocation page explains how I work with buyers who can't visit first.
